NTB || Gardatipikornews.com -- West Nusa Tenggara, March 10, 2026. Gardatipikornews.com | The armed conflict between Iran and the alliance of the United States and Israel continues to escalate as it enters its second week since it began on February 28, 2026. Large-scale airstrikes launched by the United States and Israel against various strategic military facilities in Iran have triggered an open war escalation across the Middle East. Several major Iranian cities, including Tehran and other strategic regions, have reportedly experienced intensive air attacks targeting military bases, air defense installations, and national military command centers. This situation quickly prompted a retaliatory response from Iran, which launched ballistic missile and drone strikes against multiple Israeli military targets as well as U.S. military bases across the Middle East.
As of March 10, 2026, the number of casualties resulting from the conflict continues to rise. According to reports from several international media outlets, including Reuters and Time, at least 1,630 people have been reported killed in Iran, with more than 1,300 of them identified as civilians. Thousands of others have been injured as airstrikes hit multiple urban areas across the country. One of the most tragic incidents occurred when a girls’ school in the Minab region was reportedly struck by an air attack, killing dozens and possibly more than a hundred female students. The World Health Organization (WHO) has also reported that at least 13 healthcare facilities in Iran have been damaged or affected during the course of the conflict.
The conflict has also expanded into Lebanon after the Iran-aligned group Hezbollah became involved in fighting against Israel. According to a Reuters report, at least 486 people have been killed in Lebanon, including 84 children, as a result of airstrikes and fighting in the southern part of the country. In addition to the casualties, the humanitarian impact has grown significantly, with more than 667,000 Lebanese civilians reported to have been displaced from conflict areas to safer locations.
On the Israeli side, missile and drone attacks launched by Iran have also caused casualties and damage. International media reports indicate that at least 13 people have been killed in Israel, consisting of 11 civilians and two Israeli soldiers, while more than 2,000 people have been injured due to missile and drone strikes hitting several residential areas. Some Israeli cities temporarily implemented emergency measures when air-raid sirens sounded following incoming missile threats from Iran and its allied groups.
Meanwhile, the United States military involved in operations across the region has also suffered casualties. At least seven U.S. soldiers have been reported killed during military operations in the Middle East, while several other personnel have been injured in retaliatory attacks carried out by Iran against American military bases in the Gulf region. In addition, Iranian missile strikes have reportedly reached several countries hosting U.S. military installations, including Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
Those attacks have resulted in additional casualties across several regional countries. In the United Arab Emirates, reports indicate that approximately four to six people were killed and more than 100 injured following Iranian drone and missile strikes. In Kuwait, at least two civilians were reported killed, while casualties were also reported in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia after projectiles landed in residential areas. An attack on a tanker in the waters near Oman caused one fatality, while militia clashes in Iraq and a missile strike in Syria further increased the number of casualties across the region.
When all affected areas are taken into account, the war between Iran and the United States–Israel alliance is estimated to have caused approximately 2,200 to 2,500 deaths, with more than 5,000 people injured as of March 10, 2026. The conflict has also triggered a growing humanitarian crisis, with hundreds of thousands of civilians displaced from conflict zones, particularly in Lebanon and several regions of Iran. International analysts warn that the situation could develop into a broader regional crisis if military escalation continues and more actors become directly involved in the fighting across the Middle East.
